Purpose:  This study employs a virtual reality paradigm to investigate the cues humans use to estimate traversed distances in a virtual environment.

In this study subjects are required to wear a virtual reality helmet and ride a stationary bicycle. The visual scene viewed through the VR helmet will be updated through input from the pedaling motion of the bicycle. Sometimes the computer cannot update this scene in real time, therefore very quick movement could possibly lead to dizziness or motion sickness. Should this occur you are free to stop the experiment at any time. No penalty will result from termination of the experiment.
