Sample Question:
Imagine an experiment on the Stroop effect for chromatic words and achromatic stimuli (digits), with the
exact objectives for the experiment we conducted in class in the past few weeks. But suppose we performed the
experiment in a slightly different way. The differences are as following:
- •A part of the list for the incongruent condition (both the words, the colors printed, and the digits) can be
found in the table below. The rest of the list were the exact copies (5 times) of the list shown here.
- •Subjects were instructed to perform chromatic experiment first and the achromatic experiment later.
- •10 students were absent from the class and 10 students did not submit their results thus the data from only
30 subjects were available.
- •Based on the results, we concluded that Stroop effect is larger for chromatic stimuli than for achromatic
stimuli.
