Research Interests: Katie completed an undergraduate honours thesis at the University of British Columbia, where she examined word learning in young children. Currently, she is broadly interested in understanding the effects of musical training on various aspects of perceptual and cognitive development, such as harmony perception and language skills. She is currently examining the benefits of musical training and sports participation on attention and intelligence.

Research Interests: David completed a B.Mus. and M.Mus. in performance at the University of Toronto. He also received diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music and the Suzuki Talent Education Research Institute in Japan. David is researching whether directed musical experience in infancy has an effect on perceptual, cognitive and social development.

Research Interests: Rayna completed her undergraduate honours degree in Psychology at McMaster University. Currently, she is studying the development of voice discrimination during the first year after birth, as well as the development of singing ability in children.

Research Interests: Anne-Marie DePape graduated with her Honours BA in Psychology with a Thesis with Great Distinction from the University of Windsor. In 2007, she completed her MA in Psychology, Developmental and Cognitive Processes at York University. She was also awarded the Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanitites Research Council of Canada. Anne-Marie is currently working on her Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University. Her dissertation will examine the areas of musical perception and autism.

Research Interests: Blake graduated with a BMSc. in Honours Medical Science from the University of Western Ontario. In 2008, he completed his MSc. in Health and Rehabilitation Science at UWO where he studied otoacoustic emissions in chidlren with auditory processing disorders. Blake is currently working on his Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University, where he will focus on evaluating musical perceptive skills of children using event-related potentials.

Research Interests: Nicole graduated with her Honours B.Sc. in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour from McMaster University. Nicole remains at McMaster and is working towards her Ph.D. She is currently studying Auditory Scene Analysis in adults and infants, with specific interests in simultanous integration.

Research Interests: Kate received her B.A. (Adv) in Linguistics and Psychology from the University of Manitoba, where she focussed on language acquisition and reading development in children. Her current project in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behaviour will examine multisensory integration and young children's ability to learn rhythmic structures through body movement.

Research Interests: Chris graduated with a BSc. in Honours Neuroscience and Behaviour from McMaster University. Between 2008-2009 he completed his senior honours thesis on the temporal coding of pitch. Chris is currently working on his MSc. in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour at McMaster University, where he will focus on tracing the development of fidelity in subcortical and cortical responses to auditory stimuli in infants.
